Hello fellow adventurer! My name is Cerena Dawn, but you can call me Cerena. I have been cosplaying since 2015 and would like to think I have a run down of the world of cosplay. I am not all knowing, however, I will be your guide on this new journey! Together we will learn what is cosplay, the ins and outs of the cosplay world, and how to survive the Boss level: conventions.
Like I said I have been cosplaying for a about five years now, and I still love what I do. I like to think my specialty is props and foam-smithing. It’s what I’ve found the most enjoyable thus far, but I’m still learning. If you ever wonder why I do not post older photos of my cosplay, well, that’s because I had no make-up skill. I’ll do a glow-up post one day. I love taking selfies on this one app called “Beauty Cam”. It has so many cute filters!! I try my hardest to stay up to date with the recent animes but I am so far behind. I really enjoy a good slice of life, or shoujo romance anime and or manga. A few favorites are Kiss him not Me, Sweetness and Lightning, Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, Love so Life (manga), Yona of the Dawn, and Golden Time. That is to just name a few, haha. I have a much longer list somewhere else and am always looking for recommendations.
This blog is meant to be a safe place for all those who are wanting to begin cosplay, to know what’s up, or are interested in the hobby. I hope to promote positivity, encouragement, and fun. At the end of the day, it is for our enjoyment and not to cause stress or anxiety.
